Nitrogen gas pressurization propels distilled water through the flexible plastic capillary tubes. The infusion rate can be varied from 0.2 ml/min. to 0.7 ml/min. by adjusting the gas pressure from 4 psi to 15 psi.
A smaller catheter can be used, reducing patient discomfort.
The low compliance system operates with high fidelity and slow infusion rate. Rapid pressure response can be obtained even in oropharynx and upper esophagus measurements.
The nitrogen cylinder required is size MD (4" x 20") with CGA #960 post.
Nitrogen cylinder not included.
